SPECIAL OFFERINGS

For the past 12 years God has been setting the stage for UW Sports Ministry to take Jesus to children worldwide using our VBS (Vacation Bible School) sports camp alternative. Having done hundreds of sports outreach camps and providing resources in almost every state of the nation and many countries worldwide, UW has fine tuned a sports ministry outreach tool that can now be given away to others.

In the past few years we have been privileged to take our sports camp resources to many countries and see how God is able to use sports Vacation Bible School (VBS) alternative as a vehicle to cross ethnic, cultural, denominational and economic boundaries.  In 2008, God opened the doors for UW to expand its vision by taking sports camp training resources to 40 countries allowing us to perhaps reach a MILLION children for Christ in the next five years. This is our TLC (Teach Lead Coach) initiative. We have begun the process of reaching our TLC vision, one million children for Christ, by providing sports training seminars for pastors in various countries. Those sports training seminars will equip nationals to successfully evangelize their own cities through the use of outreach sports camps. Along with the training to conduct an outreach camp, the pastors are also in need of sports equipment!

This is where your Special Offering will make a huge difference to children around the world. All of the money raised will directly impact outreach sports camps around the world.  Half of the offering will go towards sponsoring kids to attend camp and the other to making sports equipment starter kits. This equipment will allow many children around the world to not only participate in sports camp, but more importantly, to hear the good news of the gospel!

 

Q. Who will be using these equipment starter kits?

A. The starter kits will be left with leaders who have completed a Sports Outreach Training and have signed a contract committing to put what they have learned to use by running camps.

Q. What will they be receiving in a sports equipment starter kit?

A.  Soccer balls, Basketballs, flat and tall cones, Jersey’s, Ball Pumps, Mesh Ball Bags, and an Evangecube

Q. How much will each starter kit cost?

A. Each bag will be approximately $250 to assemble.
