Team Camps

25 Years of Empowering Churches to Transform Communities

For over 25 years UW has been training, equipping and discipling the local church to have a dynamic encounter with their community. Hosting a Team Camp with UW allows the local church to focus on building relationships between church and community, while letting a UW team lead the major aspects of camp. The UW team is made up of college-age athletes who have a quality relationship with the Lord. These teams spend the week of camp working with your church volunteers to create a quality sports camp for your church and community. By utilizing UW’s strong sports-oriented Bible and music curriculum, along with a high-quality sports curriculum in soccer, basketball, cheerleading, and Team 45 (our program for pre-school motor skill development), our team can help to reach your community and connect kids to your church!

UW serves churches of various denominations across the US each summer. No matter where you are in the country, we would love to work with you!

What Team Camp Churches are Saying

There's a very good balance between the kids having fun and engaging in their sport while hearing about the gospel in a way that connects to that sport. The staff were all so sweet and flexible with changing things around. Even though there were some rough kids they kept to energy high!

It's a great camp already prepared and ready to go, you send coaches to run the camp and the theology and message are solid. It's not an ordinary VBS and uses sports to connect to the kids.

The sports were very well taught. Especially cheerleading. There were kids who were not excited to be there, but by the end of the week they were sad camp was ending.

We love the music, sports, lessons, memory verse and pins, sports flash/coloring sheets, change4change, etc. Friday is an AMAZING time with wacky day and parents coming to see their kids being a part of what they had experienced during the week.

The team runs the week well. We like that they come in and our middle, high and college students assist. Because it's a full day camp for us, what you provide is super helpful in terms of main staffing.

I stepped into the Camp Director role with little to no experience and a lack of understanding of what was expected of me. Being able to simply coordinate our volunteers and run the behind the scenes things was such a blessing. Not having to worry about curriculum, games, activities, learning the songs, getting volunteers to actually lead the sports, etc. was really nice. I know all the work a typical VBS would require of its leadership, and it was awesome to know that our UW interns would handle all the heavy lifting. I would definitely recommend UW to a small or new church.

We loved having something fun and different to offer families in our community that was faith based and sports related.
